Type of Material (Multilayer Structure)
To achieve this plated finish and its protective properties, the bag is not filled with material soil, but rather with a laminated structure. The most common combination for this opacity level is PET / AL / PE or PET / VMPET / PE:
Outer Cover (PET - Polyethylene Terephthalate): Provides mechanical resistance, rigidity and a smooth surface that is excellent for adhering adhesive labels or for direct printing of graphic designs.
Intermediate Cover (AL - Aluminum or VMPET - Metallic PET): This is the protective core. Creates a total barrier against light, oxygen and humidity.
Inner Cover (PE - Polyethylene): It is a food grade film (Food Grade) that is in direct contact with the product. This layer is what allows the edges of the bag to be sealed by heat (heat-sealing) during manufacturing and packaging.
Nozzle and Cover: Suelen be made of HDPE (High Density Polyethylene) or PP (Polypropylene), rigid and food-safe plastics.
Main Features
Capacity: 16 oz (approximately 473 ml), which is ideal for medium portions.
Fuel Base (Stand-Up): The lower part expands to the bottom, creating a flat base that allows the container to remain standing on its own on shelves.
Corner Spout Nozzle (Corner Spout): Allows you to pour liquids, creams, sweats or salsas with precision without spilling. It usually includes a safety ring (clip) on the screw cap that breaks when opened for the first time.
Resistance and Properties of Barrera
Protection Barrier: Excellent. The aluminum/metallic block blocks UV rays and oxygen, which delays oxidation and significantly extends the shelf life of organic or dairy products.
Physical Resistance: Has high resistance to perforation and tear. The thickness of the material should be between 4 and 6 thousandths of an inch (mils) or 100 to 150 microns.
Thermal Resistance: The inner polyethylene can withstand freezing temperatures and, depending on the manufacturer, hot fill processes. However, they are not microwave safe due to the metal cover.
Airtightness: Withstands moderate pressure during transport without being reheated (whenever the factory thermoseal is of good quality).
